Case Studies

This compact hybrid generator system showcases many of the capabilities unique to Victron Energy and Pylontech in a small, portable package.

What does it take to run a mobile engine repair business? Deane's compact power system enables him to operate all his power tools, lights, and other electrical loads right from his work van. He can also recharge his battery while driving, eliminating the need for a generator.

Python hunters Brandon and Amanda rely on their van - and it's Victron power system - as a comfy home base as they take on Florida's invasive snakes. Added battery capacity and safe, efficient alternator charging help them camp off-grid longer and in more places.

With plans to retire next year and hit the road full-time, the owners of this Brinkley Model Z 3100 fifth wheel wanted a robust battery-inverter system to power essential loads and the flexibility to easily expand their system as needed.

Homeowner and solar installer Eric Enquist lives with his family in Boulder, MT. Last summer, he disconnected his house from the grid to install an off-grid system powered by solar, Pylontech batteries, and Victron Energy components. We sat down to ask him about his experience and to share advice with homeowners designing their own system.

For this Montana couple, living and working off-grid doesn’t mean using less power. Their expanding Victron Energy power system covers day-to-day domestic needs, pumps water for orchard irrigation, runs 3-phase woodworking equipment, and soon, a greenhouse.
