    Smart Battery Sense

    I am using this battery monitor with the 12 volt battery of my 2026 Toyota Prius plug in, as there seems to be some concern that the battery can discharge to an unhealthy level if the car is not driven for a couple of weeks. However, so far, this doesn't seem to be happening.

    I positioned the battery monitor on the side of of the car's back cagro space rather than on the side of the battery itself in order to increase the monitors bluetooth range by keeping it out of the enclosed battery well. I keep my car in a detached garage that is about 16 feet from our house. I can monitor the battery voltage from my desk on the second floor that has a window overlooking the garage. This distance corresponds to or maybe exceeds the specified range of 30 meters.

    The battery's "Trends" feature is useful to evaluate battery discharged rate. The monitor's temperature reporting also works well. However, this is perhaps not as useful for me because the monitor is not attached directly to the side of the battery as intended.

    Very Useful…temp sensitive

    Use this on my Airstream to get the actual battery voltage and temp to other Victron devices.

    Very useful. But it seems sensitive to battery box temperatures over 90 degrees F
