Founded in 1880 in Germany by Mathis Hatz, the company started as a repair business for agricultural machinery and locomotives. Today, Hatz is a global specialist in diesel engine construction with service partners in more than 120 countries. In 1978, Hatz established its North American headquarters in Waukesha, Wisconsin, operating engineering, service, and engine testing facilities. In the United States, Hatz engines are primarily used in OEM builds. 

Victron power systems capable of advanced control options, notably PowerAssist, enable the use of more efficient generators. Fully integrated communications also allow for the use of DC generators, further expanding system design flexibility.   

The Hatz fiPMG (flywheel-integrated permanent magnet generator) platform offers a perfect solution for smaller hybrid power systems. This low-speed, long-lasting generator has a small footprint and can produce perfect power thanks to the inverter output.
