The Multi RS Solar 48/6000 is a 48V 6kVA Inverter/Charger with two independent 3kWp PV 450V MPPT tracker inputs for 6kWp PV total.

Thanks to high frequency technology and a new design this powerful inverter weighs only 11kg. In addition to this it has an excellent efficiency, low standby power, and a very quiet operation.

The display reads battery, inverter and solar parameters. The same parameters can be accessed with a smartphone or other Bluetooth enabled device, using the VictronConnect app.

In mid-2023 the Multi RS was revised from a single MPPT tracker to a dual MPPT tracker model.

    Genius in a small package

    We live in one of the most remote locations on earth. Shipping anything here means thousands of miles, and a month in transit if heavier than an air mail parcel. Our off grid, solar powered home runs on Victron, noted for its reliability. We had a tropical storm recently that dumped 20" of rain in 20 hours and 60 mph winds. Our system didn't as much as blink, while many others suffered outages and damaged equipment. We were prepared, but we were also lucky. Water invasion in our power shed would have been disaster, so we decided to do a "disaster recovery drill", and see how quickly we could "get the lights back on".

    That's where Intelligent Controls and the Victron Multi RS Solar comes in. IC's customer service is top notch and after ordering the inverter, received it Air Express in 3 days! The unit's 23lb weight and compact size were key.

    It's All-in-One chassis has a 6kVA inverter and dual 3kWp MPPT trackers. If my power shed blew into the ocean, this one box, installed in a steel shipping container adjacent to the power shed, can replace the critical equipment and run our whole compound.

    Installation as a backup to our main system took less than 4 hours. It can be configured and managed using Victron Connect on my smartphone.

    It runs dead silent. Power output is clean and stable.

    As a backup to our main system, it is now ready to take over at the flip of a disconnect switch.
