  • The rumors are true: Victron Energy makes the best off-grid inverter chargers on the market. With two simultaneous AC outputs, the Multiplus inverter/charger is designed to accept multiple power sources, with seamless switching between them. It can be easily integrated into a variety of marine, mobile, and off-grid setups to provide continuous, efficient power and optimal energy management.

The MultiPlus is available in 12V, 24V, and 48VDC, and models used in the US range from 500VA to 15KVA units. Units can be wired independently, in parallel for split phase operation, or grouped for 3-phase configuration. This makes it possible to use the MultiPlus for a small single-phase system, all the way up to a commercial scale 180kVA 3-phase system.

Do you need 2 AC outputs? Review our MultiPlus Victron Energy Inverter/Charger Buyer Checklist.

  • The Victron naming convention explains the system's potential based on it's design.

How this off-grid prepper powers his home & greenhouse

Marty and Leslie use Victron Energy equipment to power their off-grid house and a 3-phase system for a lumber equipment business. He has lots of solar energy and will use excess power to heat underground water-fed pipes in his greenhouses to grow fruit and vegetables year-round. Not your average homesteaders, Marty and Leslie show what's possible to do with Victron equipment and a lot of hard work!
