The Lynx Shunt VE.Can is an intelligent 1000A shunt with a location for an ANL fuse (not included). The built-in battery monitor accurately monitors the state of charge of your battery. Use a GX device (such as the Cerbo GX) for reading out information. The Lynx Shunt VE Can can mount directly to 1 or 2 Lynx Distributors/Lynx Power Ins.

    It's Victron Blue and it Matches

    I have this along side my Lynx Distributor and it's working well. However, my biggest complaint is that it's not visible in the VictronConnect app. If you want to see the state of charge in the app, it isn't there. If you don't have a Cerbo GX you should use the BMV-712 or the SmartShunt. The state of charge does show up in the Cerbo GX.

    The shunt nicely bolts on to the Lynx Distributor and I have the Victron Switch bolted directly to the shunt (after drilling out the hole to M10). The shunt is necessary to provide power to the distributor (for its lights).

    An added benefit of this shunt is that it uses a fuse, which the BMV-712 and SmartShunt do not have built-in. You do need to buy your own CNN fuse. Make sure the fuse is rated for your voltage. They come in 48 and 80 volt versions. My system is 48 volt so I used the 80 volt, 175 amp CNN fuse from Littelfuse (part number 0CNN175E.H). Despite saying it's "very fast acting", my much more expensive 175 amp Class T fuse blew first when I first turned on DC power to the Quattro and charged the capacitors. A pre-charge circuit fixed that issue.
