Choose from Victron's MultiPlus-II or Quattro inverter/chargers to build a split-phase power system for your unique application. System options come pre-programmed for 120/240.

L1-L2 is 240v L1-N 120v L2-N 120v. L1 power output is based on Inverter 1, and L2 has the output of Inverter. The 240V power is the combination of the two inverters. For other options, reach out to our team.

Victron Energy inverter/chargers can be configured for single-phase, split-phase, and three-phase configurations using the same inverter/chargers, with the ability to stack up to 5 units per leg. This modular design has a number of advantages when optimizing a system design.

For every leg of output, a sine wave is created, and every sine wave requires a dedicated inverter. Therefore, a 3-phase system needs three inverters, and a split-phase system requires two inverters.

Commonly used in residential or light commercial power systems where 120/240V split-phase AC power is standard, a split-phase Victron Energy inverter/charger system creates AC power from a battery bank and charges that battery bank with a 240V split-phase source.

Spit-phase systems provide layers of redundancy and flexibility to power systems in a wide variety of installations. Whether you need backup for light industrial loads, expanded 120/240V power in RVs that are traditionally 120V only, primarily 120V power in off-grid properties while still supporting 230V loads like well pumps, or even localized distribution for distributed microgrid systems, Victron has a solution. A Victron 120/240V Split Phase system is a great option for many situations:

  • Off-grid homes and cabins

  • Grid-tied hybrid solar systems

  • RVs, mobile clinics, food trucks, or work vehicles

  • Light commercial buildings

  • Microgrids or distributed energy systems

In preparing for a three-month trip to Alaska, Kathy and Gary wanted a power system that would allow them to camp for several days without having to plug in at a campground. Through a great deal of personal research - and partnering with an experienced installer - their new system gives them greater freedom and peace of mind as they embark on their next adventure.
