"The crew at Intelligent Controls is top-notch. As a Victron installer, I cannot emphasize how important it is to have a distributor that knows their products inside and out, and is excited to share that knowledge. They are always willing to help troubleshoot and solve the challenging electrical puzzles I present, and make sure I have everything I need to complete an installation when I place an order. Working with them is always a pleasure."

The VE.Bus Smart dongle is two products in one:

It is the Bluetooth accessory for Victron Energy's range of inverter/chargers: Multis, MultiPlusses, MultiPlus-II, MultiGrid, MultiGrid-II, Quattros, and Phoenix Inverters with a VE.Bus port. When installed, you can use the VictronConnect App to monitor operation and also operate the system: change the input current limit as well as switch between Off, On and Charger-only modes.

Secondly it can work as a Voltage- and Temperature-sense device for the inverter/charger. This works with all inverter/charger models.

For monitoring and making a few adjustment to input currents, this device is a great alternative for very simple systems (camper vans, smaller yachts and motor homes) that don't have a display for controls.

What happens when a Victron Energy inverter/charger loses battery communications? In this video, we discuss what happens and how to edit the inverter's default charging parameters, allowing you to charge your battery bank with the appropriate voltages until communications are restored. This example off-grid power system includes 48-volt Pylontech US5000 LiFePO4 batteries. When adjusting these settings, reference your battery's manual.
